1. Bot Installation

There are many many bots out there, but in the interest of safety and simplicity, we will only
talk about one. mybot.run. This is one of the (if not the first) original bots for Clash of Clans. It is built
with AutoIT, and is 100% open source, ensuring the safety and validity of the software.

BEWARE OF ALL OTHER BOTS.
There are literally hundreds of ripoffs that have taken the source
for mybot.run and simply re-skinned it with their own graphics, maybe a couple different features,
but then have closed the source. Do NOT download any bot with a closed source. You have
no way of knowing whether or not there is something malicious hiding in the software if it is not open
source. Also there is simply no reason to use another bot, as this one does everything you could want it to.

>>>>ON THAT NOTE<<<<
One that I would be especially cautious of is Clashfarmer, the bot that gets spam
advertised in this section constantly. It is a confirmed rip of the MyBot.run source
code that has been altered in little ways here and there, then closed. I can not confirm
whether there is anything malicious in the bot, but more to the point theres no reason
to ever risk using a closed source bot that has been intentionally ripped from the
botting standard MyBot. Their advertisers here make false claims constantly about
super special "features" that clashfarmer has, claiming no other bot can do those
things, all of which are straight up lies. Some of the common ones I see are....

"Mybot cant deploy with intelligent red line deployment" [FALSE]
"Mybot cant run in background mode, allowing you to do other things" [FALSE]
"You get better loot results with other bots"[FALSE, this has 100% to do with your settings, not the bot]

Basically just stay away from this, theres no reason to not use the most
trusted bot on the market, which is open source, and free.

Here are some examples of the spam advertisers here.

Step 3
Download the bot in the provided .zip.

Extract the folder from the .zip file to a location on your computer.
(Use a software like WinZip, 7Zip, or Winrar to extract it) [Download Winrar]
Congratulations. Your bot is installed. Now move on to setting up Bluestacks.

Step 4
Download & Install Root Bluestacks. [Download Here]
Extract the Bluestacks folder inside the .zip file to a location on your computer.
Double click the .msi installer file to install a rooted version of Bluestacks.

Upon opening Bluestacks for the first time, you will be prompted to sign into
google with your existing google account.
Now would be a good time to create
a new one if you do not have one already, and set up Bluestacks to run with it.

Once Bluestacks is Installed, run the .bat file labeled "RUN ME LAST".
Once the script is running, hit "Y" to enable all the options. This will set
your Bluestacks default size to the correct ratio, which is required for the
bot to run properly. It will also pre-load some intuitive default settings.

Step 5
Install Clash of Clans.
Open the Google Play Store app, and search for Clash of Clans. Install the APP, and open it.

Once the app is open, visit your settings, and click the button labeled
"Google Play Sign In". You may be prompted to install the latest version
of the Google Play Games app. If you are, install it then return to Clash of Clans.
Once you are able, press the button to connect your Google account to the emulator "device".
If you already have a Clash of Clans village attached to that account, it will be loaded.

2. Configuration Options

Many of the options for MyBot, are fairly self explanatory. However for the sake of being
thorough, were going to cover all of them, in detail. If you feel like this isnt something
you need, feel free to skip ahead and refer back to this later if/when you need it.

To start, well discuss the 3 tabs you will likely spend the least time focusing on.

1. Log | 2. Notify | 3. Stats

The tabs listed here are important to have set up, but are still "optional".

4. Misc | 5. Expert | 6. Donate

4. Misc

The miscellaneous tab contains a few very important settings.

1. Halt Attack
This gives you many different options to either stop the bot from attacking, or
even shut down your PC, upon meeting certain conditions. Typically, for farming
it is wise to stop the bot from attacking when your gold AND elixir are both full.

2. Switch Profiles
With this option, you can save the various settings in your bot as a preset.
This allows you to experiment with different configuration options safely,
without fear of losing your currently working settings.

3. Rearm, Collect, Clear
Check the boxes to let the bot perform these tasks for you. Its
recommended that you leave these on at all times for maximum efficiency.

4. Trophy Settings
This is an incredibly critical setting, and can be the primary reason for your
success or failure when botting. You are required to define a trophy range
that your bot will stay within while searching for bases to attack. Read through
the suggestions later in this guide, and do some of your own research and testing
to determine the best range for your town hall level, and attack style.

Check the boxes to allow the bot to use heroes when intentionally dropping trophies,
and to attack a dead base found on the first search when dropping trophies.
I would recommend that you leave both of these options checked.

5. Resume Bot
Fill in the MINIMUM amount of resources you want to have before your bot will
start attacking again. If these values are too low, or not filled in, the bot can
possibly search for a base continually until it runs you out of gold. Choose an
amount that will allow for a good amount of searches, as well as enough elixir to
train a couple full sets of troops. To be safe, I set this to 200,000 gold and elixir.

6. Village Search Delay
This setting will determine how fast your bot clicks "next" when searching for a base.
It may be tempting to set this low, however to avoid unwanted app crashes, and
to make your bot behave more human, I recommend setting this to a minimum
of 2+ seconds, and a maximum of 5+ seconds. This should avoid any problems.

7. Locate Manually
Below this header you will see the images for many of your primary village buildings.
These can be used when you move a building, to re-associate its location with the bot.
All the way to the right is the image of a lvl1 town hall with a red X on it.
This is used to completely wipe all location settings. Use this when you have made
significant changes to your base layout, or switched to one of your saved layouts.

5. Expert

This tab contains some useful, but mostly optional settings.

1. When Bot Loads
Check these options if you are concerned about file build up. If you want to
retain all your logs and screenshots, leave these all cleared. It is a good idea
though to keep "Check for Updates" checked to be notified of new updates.

2. When Bot Starts
There is an auto start option which will begin the bot functions shortly after
opening. I recommend you leave this off unless you are 100% confident in your
settings, and rarely manage your village manually. Leave "Check Game Language
on. Leave Auto Align unchecked unless you are on a VM and feel the need to use it.

3. Timing
This setting will determine how fast your bot clicks to train troops. I recommend
a MINIMUM of 10ms, though it is acceptable to go higher, especially with slower PCs

4. Force Total Army Camp
Use this option to set your max army capacity. If this is not checked, the bot will pause and ask you.

6. Clan Castle Scheduler
These options are fairly self explanatory. Check the boxes for all the hours of the day
that you want the bot to perform the corresponding actions. In the interest of avoiding
detection, you should schedule these actions to perform only during "normal" waking
hours. Pick a fake "schedule" of say 6am to 11pm, and un-check the rest of the boxes.
The times selected are irrelevant if you chose not to allow clan castle actions at all.

7. Boost Barracks Scheduler
Use the same thought process as we did for the clan castle, only for barracks boosting.
Boosting barracks isnt necessary, and requires a good number of gems. I would
avoid boosting unless you are rushing your growth for a particular reason.

8. Photo Screenshot Options

Choose to have your loot screenshots saved as .png, and if you prefer, to hide the village & clan names.

6. Donate

Check the "Request for" box to allow your bot to automatically request CC troops.
It will post your request with whatever message you put in the text box.

Below that are pictures of every troop in clash of clans. Select each one to set
the donation options for that type of troop. On the bottom left is a box for keywords
that will trigger a donation from your bot. So if you put "barb" and "barbarians" in
that box, your bot will donate barbarians to the requesting person, if you have barbarians.

The dark grey box on the right allows you to set blacklist terms. If the bot sees
any of THESE words, it will NOT donate that type of troop. If you have mid level troops,
it is a good idea to black list words like "max" and"maxed", as well as words or
phrases that mean people DONT want barbarians, like "no barbarians" and "no barb" etc.

Check the box "Donate [trooptype]" to allow the bot to donate that troop type.
If it is left unchecked, it will not donate that troop. Leave all troop boxes unchecked
to avoid donating at all. There is also a "donate to all" checkbox, which will override
ALL keywords, and simply donate that troop ANY time it sees a request. It is
recommended that you do not use this if you plan to act like a real human to your clan.

The donation keywords and options must be set for EVERY troop type.

These are some of your most important tabs.

7. Troops | 8. Search | 9. Attack

Spoiler (Click to Hide)

7. Troops

This tab will determine the composition of the army that your bot trains.

1. Army Composition.
Use this drop down menu to chose your army composition. All the options are
presets that do not allow you to customize your army, except for "Custom
Army" and "Barrack Mode". The options are fairly self explanatory.

If you choose Custom Army, you must fill in the percentages below corresponding
to Barbarians, Archers, and Goblins. The TOTAL of your percentages must equal 100.

2. Barrack Mode.
If you have selected "Barrack Mode" under the Army Composition drop down, this
section will be accessible. Barrack Mode means that you define a certain troop type,
for each barrack to produce, and it simply pumps out that unit constantly. It
allows you to split your troop type 50/50, 25/75, 25/25/25/25, or 25/25/50 etc.
This is a popular troop setting, due to its simplicity, and efficiency.

3. Army Strength.
Below Barrack Mode you will find the Army Strength Option. This will allow your
bot to start searching for bases when your armies are X% full.

4. Additional Troops.
If you have selected Custom Army from the drop down menu, this is where you
will decide what additional troops (aside from the basic barb arch gob) that you
want to train for attacks. Simply fill in the amount next to their portrait.

5. Additional Dark Troops.
Exactly the same as Additional Troops, but for Dark Elixir troops.

6. Spells.
Allows the bot to auto train certain spells. Be sure to set your max capacity.

7. Boost Options.
These options allow you to set a total amount of boosts that the bot will start on
your buildings when it begins running. To avoid accidental gem spending, I
suggest that you leave all of these options disabled, and only boost manually.

8. Search

This is arguably THE most important tab in the bot. I will determine the
parameters your bot will search with, when looking for a base to attack.

1. Search Mode.
This option tells the bot whether to search for only DeadBases, only LiveBases,
or both Dead AND Live bases when looking for a base to attack.

It is common practice to only search for deadbases, as they will typically
yield a MUCH greater loot return, should be clear of traps, etc.

2. Search Options.
Check the top box to be alerted with a push message notification when a base is chosen.
Check the bottom box to force the bot to start over looking for a base after X amount of searches.
I do not recommend that you use the second option, instead play with your settings to find the right choice.

3. DeadBase Conditions
Gold and Elixer. You must choose whether you want the
bot to search for a specific amount of gold ANDelixir in a single base, an amount
of gold OR elixir to search for, or a TOTAL amount of gold + elixir.

Gold AND Elixir requires that BOTH number conditions be met before attacking.
Gold OR Elixir requires that only ONE of the specified numbers be met before attacking.
Gold + Elixir requires a TOTAL loot amount be met before attacking.
ie; If my TOTAL amount is 400,000, the bot would attack on the following...
200Kg|200Ke, 100Kg|300Ke, 10Kg|390Ke etc...

In this section, there are several more options you have to narrow down the exact
type of base you want to search for. They are fairly self explanatory. Be aware though
that every option you add will likely increase the time it takes for the bot to
find each base, thereby decreasing your total hourly loot gain. It is wise to
find settings that work for you, while selecting the minimum amount of options.

Lastly there is an option to custom define what the bot considers a DeadBase.
I would recommend letting the bot decide, and staying away from this option.

4. LiveBase Conditions
Exactly the same options as DeadBase, but for LiveBase. This is unusable if DB only is selected.

5. Search Reduction
This option will allow the bot to "loosen" the search requirements a bit by dropping
the required gold and elixir to select a base. I recommend leaving this at default.

9. Attack

DeadBase/LiveBase Deploy
All the options on this page are mirrored, one side for DeadBases, one side for
LiveBases. The exceptions are the clan castle balance in the middle, and the hero
options at the bottom. For Hero Abilities, use auto activate. The smart feature
works very well, and youll get the most out of your heroes in battle.

All of these options are up to your preference for how you want to deploy in an attack.

One relatively important option is Delay Unit / Wave. I would recommend
setting this to 4 and 7, in order to appear more human like in your actions.

Smart Attack will deploy troops just outside the red line, positioning them as
close to buildings as possible. This is up to you whether you want to use it or not.

Drop Type will allow you to select how the bot deploys your troops.
You can select near mines, elixir collectors, or dark elixir drills.

Check boxes below will determine whether the bot uses heroes for farming.
You should always use them, as they can add some serious punch to your attacks.

10. Attack Adv | 11. End Battle | 12. Upgrade

10. Attack Adv

This tab has some very optional advanced options. If you are new to botting,
I recommend staying away from these for now and coming back later.

1. Attack Now.
Check this to have a "force attack" button on the bot during search mode.
This is only mildly useful as you can manually attack if you see a base you want.

2. Bully Attack Combo
This can be a useful option if you are struggling to find bases within a reasonable
amount of searches. After X amount of searches, bot will just attack a lower level base.

3. Defense Farming
Only used for farming "Unbreakable" achievement. Stay away for loot farming.

4. TH Snipe
This option used to be for growing trophy count, however it can now be useful to
find those bases who still have their town hall exposed, to snipe a bit of extra
loot while your troops train. I personally do not use this, as the return is rarely
worth the cost of gold searching for a base with this condition.

11. End Battle

This tab provides a few options that determine when the bot will end an attack.
Pretty typical settings for farming are...
No new loot raided within 20 sec
No new loot raided within 5 sec AND resources are below 2,000, 2,000, 0
When No Resources Left

You can also choose to share a replay with your clan after each attack. This is
NOT recommended if you want to appear human to your clan, as it will spam.

12. Upgrade

This tab is all about auto-upgrading your buildings and especially your walls. Use this
only if you plan to run your bot for very long periods of time, ie; more than a day or so.

1. Laboratory.
Check the box and use the drop down menu to queue the next laboratory upgrade.

1. Upgrade Heroes.
Check the boxes to allow the bot to upgrade heroes as long as there is Dark Elixir available.

1. Buildings or Heroes.
Use these options to queue up and prioritize building and hero upgrades.

1. Minimum Gold, Elixir, & Dark Elixir.
Use these options to determine the minimum amount of gold that the bot will keep before
beginning any upgrades. It is recommended to keep this around or above your farming minimum.

1. Walls.
Check the box to enable the bot to automatically search for walls periodically and upgrade them.
You must select the proper level wall on the right from the drop down menu, and chose
whether to use gold, elixir, or both for upgrades (on the appropriate level walls).
If you leave this running for long periods of time, check the box to save 1 builder for walls.

3. Setting Presets

There are a few primary reasons that someone would want to bot in Clash of Clans.

1. To accelerate the gain of gold and elixir, and thereby the game progression.
2. To perform normal actions, for those that dont have time to babysit the game.
3. Grow multiple accounts either for personal use, to share, or to sell.

In MOST cases, people bot because earning gold and elixir in Clash of Clans can be
very tedious and time consuming. It allows you to focus on the fun parts of the game.

Because of that, our strategy focus will be all about maximizing your resource gain.

Here Ill list a couple recommended starter settings to get you farming right away.
Experiment with things on your own, and try new things to find what works best for you.
