W are glad to announce to you the release of May / June 2016 West African Examination Council ( WAEC ) result. The result was released on 5 August 2016 so candidate who participated in the exam can now check and see their result.
According to the examinations body they withheld the results of 137,295 candidates, representing 8.89 per cent of those who took the examinations.
The exams body said that of the 1, 552, 758 students who sat for the May/June exams, 878,040 candidates, representing 52.97 per cent, obtained credits in five (5) subjects and above, including English Language and Mathematics.
�A total of 1,014,573 candidates, representing 65.70 per cent obtained six credits and above, 1,167,484 candidates, representing 75.60 per cent obtained five credits and above. While 1,282,204 candidates, representing 83.03 per cent obtained credit and above in four subjects,� it said.
�1,370,049 candidates, representing 88.72 per cent obtained credit and above in three subjects, 1,438,679 candidates, representing 93.16 per cent obtained credit and above in two subjects,� he said.

1.First visit the official website of www.waecdirect.org.
2.On the waec website and in the left upper corner you would find the yellow checking form. It has several empty fields, which have to be filled in by you.
3.Exam # - 10 digits, you get, when you register to pass an exam;
4.insert the year (2016 for instance) you have taken the exam in;
5.Pick you exam type from the drop out menu;
6.Insert your PIN from the card and click the submit button.
Once you follow all the steps, you can print out the results for your West African Examination Council tests. Instead of PC of notebook you can use a smartphone with internet connection to carry out the check.
How To Check WAEC Result 2016 Offline?
What if you do not have the PC with internet connection? Can you still use your scratch card to check the results? You can use a cell phone offline to send SMS and check your results. For instance MTN or Glo along with Celtel users can type in the short code 32327 and enter WAEC PIN plus exam year. Here is what you do:

No spaces between the digits are allowed. Send SMS and wait to receive your WAEC result on your cell phone. At this you will have to cover the costs of sending SMS, which is around 30 naira. Surely, that adds up to the overall costs of checking the results.
